I was approached to direct this film after the producers saw me directing ‘Gunmen’. I had lots of other work on my plate at the time and turned them down for several months. Then, as the shoot was fast approaching they came to me again and we worked it out – and I’m glad we did since it was actually one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever done.
Since I came into the project late, I wasn’t involved in any of the casting or setting up of locations, wardrobe, etc. I really had to just step in and make whatever I had work “In the moment”. Due to the late start – and also since the producer was also the writer – we wound up taking shared director credit. I also worked with her on re-writes to the film.
As the Cinematographer as well, I went for a clean, commercial look in keeping with any Hollywood comedy film.
I did all the post on this full-length feature film as well as editing this trailer. This included not only the edits, but also graphics, sound (creating of sound fx, mix, etc), and also final color correction.
